Aug. 10th, 2005 11:52 pmA couple months ago, Nicole and I cashed in our jar full of coins at CoinStar. Actually, it was a vase. We received 138 dollars and change and decided we would use the money to buy a new chest of drawers for our room. Today, we finally went shopping.
The furniture will be delivered Tuesday afternoon. We bought two chests of drawers and a bookshelf. Total cost was $258.
Feeling very happy about our purchases, we came home and started preparing the room for the rearrangement that will have to take place. The entertainment center, chiffarobe, and present bookshelf will have to go to make room for the new furniture, and the bed and desk will also have to be moved. We filled a huge trash bag full of clothes to give to a girl we know at church; the rest will have to be washed and then stored away somewhere until the new furniture gets here. I suspect Nicole's just happy the bed won't be in front of the window anymore.
We don't really have anywhere to put our TV and DVD player now that the entertainment center will be gone, but I guess we'll just stick them on top of the shorter dresser.
We have also begun working on filling the vase again. The first time took us about 7 months. This time we're going for mostly silver coins. ;)
