yeah, I noticed a couple times that the singing was really quiet, but it was always HBC when I noticed, so I just attributed it to her voice being weaker than your average Mrs. Lovett. Luckily, I have the lyrics memorized, so I didn't miss anything. ;)
It wasn't so much the "blood" that disturbed me, though, it was the violence in the actions themselves. Not just Sweeney, either, although like I said, he was terrifying, but also the scene between Anthony and Judge Turpin. I'm used to the mood being more satirical, less melodramatic, that's all. I mean, I expected a bigger sense of satisfaction when the Judge finally got his throat cut. It was there, but it wasn't as big as I'm used to, because it was all that much more serious.
